Membership is corporate (in other words NZAGE memberships are sponsored and retained by the organisation). Each organisation nominates a Key Member Representative, who should be in a position to represent their organisation's view on graduate recruitment and development. These nominated Member Representatives are then eligible to receive the numerous benefits as outlined below. Additional Representatives from the same organisation are then able to join at no extra charge. Many organisations choose to join up Additionals from a variety of areas around New Zealand, allowing their teams to access and benefit from the national NZAGE network.
Member Representatives receive many benefits:
The annual NZAGE Summit focuses on the professional development of our members, and addresses key graduate recruitment issues, such as the 'how to of graduate recruitment', the latest industry innovations and the big issues facing graduate recruiters today. Member Representatives are entitled to discount rates. Member representatives are entitled to discount rates when to registering.
NZAGE events/workshops are usually held quarterly in either Auckland or Wellington. The themes of these events are chosen to reflect the current industry trends and issues, but regardless of theme or format, the focus remains on knowledge sharing and networking. Regular feedback from members highlights the invaluable opportunity of expanding one's network and sharing experiences with others in the graduate recruitment industry. Seats at NZAGE events are extended to members as our first priority. Member representatives recieve free registration to events. Non-members are welcome to attend if space allows however will be charged a registeration fee.
In association with High Fliers Research (UK), the NZAGE conducts an annual New Zealand Graduate Employer and Candidate survey. The Employer and Candidate surveys combine to provide a independent 360 degree perspective on the graduate market.
While the Employer survey provides key data on the recruitment, selection and training and development practices of New Zealand graduate employers, the Candidate survey compliments these insights by providing current perspectives from successful graduates who have gained employment across multiple industries.
The data is an excellent source of information to inform your current and future graduate programmes as well as providing critical benchmarks for you to compare your graduate offering to other New Zealand organisations. The NZAGE surveys are also designed to enable trans-Tasman comparisons to be made with annual AAGE (Australian Association of Graduate Employers) survey data.
NZAGE members who complete the survey will have free access to the survey reports published in October of each year. NZAGE Members who do not complete the survey have access to each report for $75 each. Non members can order a hard copy of the report for $250 each).
We regularly keep members up to speed with industry 'happenings' as well as NZAGE news and events.
This Directory is updated annually. Available to Full Members only, the Directory is a useful contact list, allowing you to network independently with other NZAGE Member Representatives.
